I had a blast running around with Joynia and Mark.  Both are nurses and work long hard hours.   Leading up to their engagement session they were pretty tired, but once we got started I couldn’t tell. The two were full of energy and not at all shy in front of the camera.  We started the session in the back alleys of Old Town Pasadena and ended in Downtown LA. One of my all time favorite shots was at the LA Music Center.  I was hoping that the center would have their water fountains going full blast but to my disappointment they weren’t.  The water was sprouting only a few inches off the ground.  Not at all the dramatic scene I was hoping for.  The sun was setting and it was getting very windy and cold.  A freezing Joynia was quickly losing her energy.  I had to review our options quickly. With the water spouts low I noticed that we had a clear view of City Hall.  There was also some palm trees and lights that helped with balance.  To keep them busy, I told the couple to practice their first dance and enjoy the moment.  I dropped to the floor and shot away.  We got some really fun shots and ended the day on a high note.  Just like we planned ; ).
